IntroductionHealth and Safety Training Course

Designed as a first level course incorporating fundamental occupational health and safety knowledge for all employees that will enable them to contribute to any health and safety management system. The programme covers a defined syllabus and is assessed by a short objective test consisting of 30 multi-choice questions.

Target Group

Employees with little or no prior knowledge of current health & safety legislation who require a nationally recognised certificate.

Aims

To provide attendees with information on health and safety issues, which they will encounter during their working day.

  • To increase awareness of health & safety issues
  • To carryout assigned tasks in both a safe and efficient manner
  • To understand the legal responsibilities of both the employer and employee as defined by the Health & Safety at Work Act.

  • Workplace health, safety and welfare - Work equipment
  • Electricity - Fire prevention
  • Occupational health - Hazardous substances
  • Ergonomics and workstation design - Manual handling
  • Noise

Safety Requirements

As the instruction is carried out on site, the client’s site regulations/requirements must be adhered to.
