Job Purpose

Deliver profitable business growth from our key account portfolio, through both business retention and new business acquisition, focusing on large key accounts within the industrial sector. Take a leadership role within the Sales team, with overall ownership of team performance against budget and the day-to-day engagement, management and development of Sales team members.


Responsibilities

Teamwork:

• Manage key internal relationships to drive consistently outstanding customer service
• Support and assist others through sharing of knowledge to ensure consistency of information delivered to customers
• Demonstrate flexibility in your approach to work, showing a willingness to support your team mates whenever needed

Ownership:

• Manage and co-ordinate relevant internal and external resource to deliver against account plans
• Contribute and deliver against strategy based upon sector insight, market trends and research
• Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
• Network within the access industry, capitalising on talent and opportunity
• Report any opportunities and threats to the Strategic Account Director at the earliest opportunity, escalating concerns and suggestions for    improvement
• Proactively manage your existing customer base, monitoring customer revenue
• Be creative with ideas in order to identify opportunity for growth and additional revenue
• Work conscientiously to gain a full understanding and knowledge of your customer base
• Develop, drive and report back on a highly effective value proposition for all key accounts

Outstanding Service:

• Ensure that you seek to surpass customer expectations in everything you do
• Build and develop strong customer relationships with depth and breadth, to promote the Horizon brand
• Arrange and carry out customer review meetings
• Generate high level of customer satisfaction through responsiveness to needs
• Assist customers to ensure they remain within budget and to deadlines
• Maintain regular contact with existing customers, building strong relationships and maximising all opportunities
• Ensure all actions carried out on behalf of Horizon Platforms are commercially viable
• Drive your personal development plan in order to be an expert on your key accounts and knowledgeable in your sector

Skills Required

• A proven track record in key account management, sales and profit generation
• Excellent negotiation skills, comfortable in dealing with complex corporate accounts
• Strong understanding of the drivers of key account relationships and proven ability to demonstrate value added propositions
• A comprehensive knowledge of market and competition
• Ability to analyse detailed sales and P&L data to inform sales strategy, utilising all available sales and reporting tools
• Excellent presentation skills
• Passionate and willing to provide exceptional levels of customer service
• Competent problem-solving skills with an ability to identify alternative solutions
• Self-motivation with an ability to work autonomously and take responsibility
• A flexible approach, with a positive and confident outlook and a willingness and ability to react positively to changing business demands
