1a: Static Vertical

  • A vertical type machine with outriggers which must be deployed before elevating and as a consequence does not drive in the air
  • Static MEWP
  • Uses outriggers for stability and levelling
  • Must be driven into position

  • A boom type machine with outriggers which must be deployed before elevating and as a consequence does not drive in the air.
  • Available as road going vehicles
  • Setup on jacks, outriggers or stabilizers
  • Lightweight models available
  • Certain models can be pedestrian driven

PAV: Push Around

  • Essentially small, simple static vertical machines.
  • No mechanical drive and are physically pushed around
  • Popular with contractors and the non-construction sector who are using this type of equipment for low-level access work.
